Four Arrested in Hyderabad for Cryptocurrency Fraud and Extortion

Police in Hyderabad, India, caught four people who tricked others with fake cryptocurrency deals.

Cryptocurrency is a kind of digital money that people can send over the internet.

The tricksters contacted people on social media, like Facebook, and pretended to help them with digital money transactions.

After gaining their trust, they asked victims to meet them and then robbed them.

One victim, a man named J.R. Chowdary, had ₹7 lakh taken from his home.

Police looked at security camera videos to find the suspects.

They found the four men at a snooker place in Chandrayangutta.

Police say the same group did this trick four other times too.

Now the four men have been taken to court to face charges.

Police are also warning everyone to be careful when strangers offer money deals online.
