Bajaj Finance shares plunge 6% after RBI draft norms

Bajaj Finance shares plunge 6% after RBI draft norms

Bajaj Finance is a big company that gives loans to people.

Recently, its shares fell in price by more than 5% in one day.

This was the biggest drop for the company in four months.

The reason is that the Reserve Bank of India, which makes rules for banks and finance companies, shared new draft rules.

Under these rules, companies like Bajaj Finance can only offer term loans, which are loans paid back over a fixed time.

This made investors worried, so they sold the shares.

Just before this, the company had reported very good results.

Its profit went up by 27% compared to last year.

Its total loans given to customers also grew by 24%.

So even though the company is doing well, the new rules scared some investors.
