Bihar Voter Rolls to Be Revised; EC to Upload 2003 List
Bihar is updating its voter lists before the elections.
A large number of voters don't need to prove anything.
Some older voters need to show where and when they were born, while some others will need to provide details of their parent's birth details.
This will help to ensure that only the correct people are listed to vote.
Election Commission (EC) to upload 2003 Bihar voters list on its website.
4.96 crore voters (60%) listed in the 2003 revision need not submit documents.
Remaining 3 crore voters (40%) must provide documents for birth or place of birth.
EC will conduct house-to-house verification for an error-free voter list.
Intensive revision is due to upcoming Bihar Assembly polls later this year.
