Jeffrey Sachs Predicts India, China Will Lead Global Economy

Jeffrey Sachs thinks India and China could become the two biggest economies in the world in less than 25 years.

He predicts the United States could be third at that time.

He believes India’s economy is growing quickly and that its population may keep increasing.

China’s population, he says, is declining.

Sachs thinks India and China could both benefit by working more closely on trade, technology, investment, and supply chains.

The countries still have border tensions and do not fully trust each other.

He wants BRICS to support countries working together through global institutions instead of opposing the West.

He also says India should leave the Quad because he sees it as a group aimed at containing China.
