India-Canada CEPA Negotiators to Meet
India and Canada are going to have a meeting this week to talk about a special trade agreement called CEPA.
They haven't talked about this in two years, so they need to decide if they should start from where they left off or begin again.
The last time they tried, they had 10 meetings but couldn't agree.
Now, with a new leader in Canada, they are trying again.
India is also talking to other countries like New Zealand and Australia about trade deals.
It's like they're trying to make new friends to trade with and figure out the best way to do it.
India and Canada's chief negotiators to meet virtually this week to discuss CEPA agenda.
Negotiations resumed after a 2-year gap; previous attempt had 10 rounds before being abandoned.
Decision pending on whether to continue from previous negotiations or start anew.
India's trade agreement negotiations with New Zealand are in final stages.
Next round of India-Australia CECA negotiations scheduled for January.
