Eros Sues Aanand L Rai Over Raanjhanaa Copyright Infringement
Eros International Media Ltd has sued filmmaker Aanand L Rai and others for allegedly copying parts of their 2013 movie Raanjhanaa in the 2025 film Tere Ishk Mein.
Eros says that the new movie used similar characters, promotional material, and music without permission.
They are asking for Rs 84 crore in damages.
The case is being heard in the Bombay High Court.
Eros claims they own all the rights to Raanjhanaa, including its characters and story.
They say that the new movie's promotions suggested it was a sequel to Raanjhanaa, which they believe is not true.
The defendants have not yet commented on the lawsuit.
