Coal India Files for BCCL IPO, Announces Offer for Sale
Imagine Coal India is like a big company with smaller companies inside.
One of these smaller companies, Bharat Coking Coal (BCCL), wants to raise money.
Coal India has asked for permission to sell shares of BCCL to the public.
This is called an IPO.
When people buy these shares, the money goes to Coal India.
This will help BCCL become more well-known.
It is similar to when companies sell a slice of themselves so that more people can invest.
Coal India filed a DRHP for the IPO of its subsidiary, Bharat Coking Coal (BCCL).
The IPO will be an offer for sale (OFS) of up to 46.57 crore equity shares.
ICICI Securities and IDBI Capital Markets are book-running lead managers.
CMPDI, another Coal India subsidiary, also filed for a similar IPO.
