ICICI Bank Announces Credit Card Changes
ICICI Bank is making several changes to its credit cards.
Starting in 2026, there will be a 2% fee for transactions on online gaming platforms.
There will also be a 1% fee for loading money into wallets like Amazon Pay or Paytm if you put in Rs 5,000 or more.
Similarly, a 1% fee will be charged on big transportation transactions over Rs 50,000.
The bank is also changing how reward points work.
For example, some cards will only give rewards up to a certain amount spent on transportation.
The BookMyShow benefit will now require spending Rs 25,000 in the previous quarter to use.
Some cards will also have higher fees for adding new cards or using them abroad.
The bank advises customers to check the new terms carefully.
ICICI Bank introduces a 2% fee on transactions with online gaming platforms like Dream11 and MPL, effective January 2026.
A 1% fee will be charged on wallet loads of Rs 5,000 or more and on transportation transactions exceeding Rs 50,000.
Reward points on transportation spends will be capped at Rs 20,000/month for premium cards and Rs 10,000/month for mid-tier cards.
