Uttam Kumar Centenary Tributes Headline City Puja Pandals

Several puja clubs are honoring actor Uttam Kumar for his 100th birth anniversary.

The anniversary will be observed on September 3.

Samaj Sebi Sangha will show painted posters from many of his films.

Mitali will play songs and show pictures, advertisements and other memorabilia.

It will also present a short film made from clips of his movies.

Rupchand Mukherjee Lane Sarbojanin is creating a large street pandal inspired by old Calcutta.

It will include a recreated make-up room, a museum and a studio floor.
