Navi Mumbai Prepares for Civic Polls
Navi Mumbai is getting ready for its civic elections in 2025.
The city has set up special centers to watch the news and talk to reporters.
The police are making sure everything is safe and fair.
People can call special numbers if they see any rules being broken.
The elections will happen on January 15, and the results will be counted the next day.
Everyone is working together to make sure the elections are fair and peaceful.
Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC) has set up a Media Monitoring Centre and a Media Centre at its headquarters to ensure transparent and fair conduct of the 2025–26 civic polls.
The Media Monitoring Centre will oversee print, electronic, digital, and social media platforms throughout the election period.
Navi Mumbai Police have enforced strict security measures, including prohibitory orders and deployment of special squads, to maintain law and order during the elections.
NMMC has released ward-wise contact details of senior civic officials for citizens to report Model Code of Conduct (MCC) violations.
The Model Code of Conduct, in effect from December 15, 2024, requires prior approval for all election-related advertisements and imposes restrictions on campaign activities.
