Pune to Host Banking and MSME Sector Conference
Imagine lots of small businesses called MSMEs needing money, but banks don't always know how to help them.
A conference in Pune is happening to help MSMEs understand banking better, like how to ask for loans.
Experts will give advice, and the goal is to fix problems like a lack of clear financial information from the MSMEs and data issues for creditors.
They'll also discuss important topics like taxes, quick approvals, and special loans for small businesses.
Around 400 business owners will attend, and the Maharashtra industries minister is also expected.
A conference is being held in Pune on Sunday to address awareness gaps regarding banking for micro and small enterprises (MSMEs).
The event is organized by Sahakar Bharati and the Global Indian Origin Network.
The MSME sector has an addressable credit gap of up to Rs 30 crore, as per a recent study.
Issues related to Goods and Services Tax (GST), single-window clearance, and Mudra loans will be discussed.
Maharashtra has the highest number of registered MSMEs at 80 lakh units.
