15 Airports Under UDAN Scheme Temporarily Non-Operational
The government has announced that 15 airports under the UDAN scheme, which aims to improve regional air connectivity, are currently not operating.
These airports are in various parts of the country and are temporarily closed due to reasons like not enough passengers, problems with aircraft, and other operational issues.
The scheme has successfully connected 93 airports with 651 routes.
In the last five years, 11 new airports were opened in Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand, and Bihar, but only four of these have flights running regularly now.
The government is working to address these issues and get the airports back to normal operations soon.
