CM Inaugurates Lakkundi Excavation, Museum Planned
Imagine a really old town called Lakkundi where the government is digging to find ancient treasures.
The Chief Minister is helping to start the digging to find old temples and forts that were built a long, long time ago.
They want to build a special outdoor museum, like one in another place called Warangal.
The people who live there are helping by letting the government dig on their land.
They even collected many old items from people's houses!
Experts think this could be even better than the museum in Warangal.
People hope Lakkundi can become a famous place, even more famous than Hampi, if they dig up and show off the old things properly.
The government is also trying to get Lakkundi recognized by the world.
Chief Minister inaugurated the excavation at Lakkundi's historical site.
An open museum is planned, modeled after Warangal's museum.
The government is providing funds for the excavation and the museum.
Over 1,500 relics were collected from villagers for the museum.
The Indian National Trust for Art and Cultural Heritage nominated Lakkundi for a world heritage tag.
