IndusInd Bank CEO Raises Concern Over ‘Unmapped’ Voter Name
Rajiv Anand, the head of IndusInd Bank, said his name was marked “unmapped” on the voter list.
He said he has voted in every election since he became eligible.
He also said he has Aadhaar, PAN, a voter ID card and a passport.
Anand said officials asked him to attend a hearing so his name would not be deleted.
This happened during a voter-record review called the Special Intensive Revision.
The Election Commission said officials can collect documents from people’s homes.
It said most people who receive notices should not need to attend an office hearing.
Hearings may happen in unusual cases, preferably online.
An authorised adult family member may attend for a voter if necessary.
