Bangladesh Election Violence Targets Hindus
In Bangladesh, there have been fights between different political groups as they prepare for an important election.
These groups are the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP), the National Citizen Party (NCP), and Jamaat-e-Islami (JeI).
The fights happened in several places, including Mymensingh, Lalmonirhat, Chuadanga, and the capital city, Dhaka.
Many people got hurt, and some offices were damaged.
The fights started because people disagreed about who should be campaigning and how.
This has made people worried about the upcoming election on February 12.
The government is trying to keep the peace, but the situation is still tense.
Additionally, some leaders are trying to make the situation worse by spreading hate against Hindus, saying that Hindus support India and have no place in Bangladesh.
This is making the Hindus in Bangladesh very scared, and they might have to leave the country if the violence continues.
Dozens injured in clashes between BNP, NCP, and Jamaat-e-Islami supporters during election campaigning.
Violence reported in Mymensingh, Lalmonirhat, Chuadanga, and Dhaka.
