Cultural Festivals Celebrate Global Dance and Theatre
Two big cultural festivals are happening in India.
The first one is the 25th Bharat Rang Mahotsav, which is the world's largest international theatre festival.
It was started by a government minister in Delhi and will have shows in 40 places in India and one country on each continent.
There will be 277 Indian and 12 international theatre productions in 288 different languages.
The festival helps show India's rich cultural heritage to the world.
Two new digital platforms, a radio station called 'Rang Akash' and an OTT platform called 'Naatyam', were also launched to help the National School of Drama reach more people.
The second festival is Spectrum 2026, presented by the National Centre for the Performing Arts in Mumbai.
It is a dance festival that brings together classical and contemporary dances from India and around the world.
The festival will have performances of Bharatanatyam, Odissi, Kathak, and international contemporary dance.
There will also be special classes for students and dancers to learn more about dance.
The festival starts on January 30, 2026, and ends on February 22, 2026.
