Sooryavanshi Sweats It Out In Nets After Successful Zimbabwe Tour
A young cricket player named Vaibhav Sooryavanshi is getting ready for a new season.
Even though he is still a teenager, he is already a star.
He shared a video on Instagram of himself practicing very hard.
He said his practice was "preparation."
Vaibhav did very well on a recent trip to Zimbabwe.
He scored more runs than anyone else on his team there.
He won a special award called Player of the Series.
Earlier, he became the youngest person ever to play international cricket for India, at just 15 years old.
That broke a record held by the famous player Sachin Tendulkar.
Now he has been picked as vice-captain of his team for the Duleep Trophy, a big Indian tournament starting August 23.
Vaibhav Sooryavanshi posted a video on Instagram of himself practicing in the nets, captioned "Preparation," ahead of the new domestic season.
Sooryavanshi topped the run charts on his Zimbabwe tour with 151 runs in three innings, including two fifties, at an average of 50.33 and a strike rate of 196.10.
He won the "Player of the Series" award as India sealed their first series under newly-appointed T20I skipper Shreyas Iyer after losses to Ireland and England.
Sooryavanshi debuted for India at 15 years and 99 days against England in Manchester, becoming India's youngest international cricketer and breaking Sachin Tendulkar's record.
East Zone named Ishan Kishan captain and Sooryavanshi vice-captain for the Duleep Trophy, which begins August 23 against North East Zone.
