MRVC Installs Solar Power at Key Stations

MRVC Installs Solar Power at Key Stations

The Mumbai Railway Vikas Corporation (MRVC) is putting up big solar power systems at four train stations: Mira Road, Virar, Palghar, and Neral.

They are doing this to use cleaner energy and save money.

Each station will get different amounts of solar power, adding up to 1,250 kW in total.

This will make about 5,000 units of electricity every day.

The project costs around ₹5.34 crore and is expected to save about ₹1.5 crore every year.

It will also help the environment by reducing pollution and making the stations more eco-friendly.

The project is being managed by the Railway Energy Management Company Limited to make sure it meets all the necessary standards.

This initiative is part of MRVC's plan to make train stations more sustainable and better for passengers.
