SkyHop’s Lakshadweep Seaplane Expansion Plans Remain In Limbo

SkyHop wants to run seaplane services in Lakshadweep.

The company has invested Rs 100 crore and hired 100 people.

It is waiting for more information about whether and how it can operate there.

Because of this, its plans to bring in aircraft are paused.

SkyHop signed an agreement with Noemi Aerospace to study electric and hybrid seaplanes.

The company hopes to build a fleet of as many as 40 aircraft by FY30.

SkyHop has written to the Prime Minister’s Office about the issue.

The timing of the planned expansion is still uncertain.
