Woman and Lover Get Life Terms for Husband’s Murder
A court in Gudur sentenced Nellore Chitra and Tonda Krishnamurthy to life in prison.
Each was also ordered to pay a fine of ₹15,000.
Police said Chitra and Krishnamurthy had a relationship and planned to kill Chitra’s husband, Jagadeesh.
They said Krishnamurthy took Jagadeesh to fields near Mannarpoluru on October 14, 2023.
Police said he attacked Jagadeesh’s throat with a sharp blade.
Jagadeesh managed to reach the road, but died from his injuries.
The two were arrested after Sullurupeta police registered a case.
Police said evidence presented during the trial helped prove the case.
