Mumbai Faces Water Cuts and Train Disruptions
Mumbai is having a lot of problems with water and trains.
The water supply will be cut off or have low pressure in many areas from December 22 to December 26, 2025, because of work on the Metro Line 7A.
This affects places like Andheri, Vile Parle, and Dharavi.
At the same time, many trains on the Western Railway will be cancelled from December 20, 2025, to January 18, 2026, because of important track work.
The worst part is between December 26 and December 30, when almost 350 trains will be cancelled every day.
The railway is trying to help by adding more buses and setting up help desks at stations.
After the work is done, there will be a new path for long-distance trains to help reduce future congestion.
Mumbai is experiencing a 99-hour water supply disruption from December 22 to December 26, 2025, due to Metro Line 7A construction.
Areas like Andheri, Vile Parle, and Dharavi will face water cuts or low-pressure supply during specific times.
The water disruption is caused by the diversion of a 2,400-mm Upper Vaitarna water pipeline for Metro work.
