Conflicting Reports List Four Special Train Routes for Festive Travel
Railway officials are reported to be adding trains for people traveling during the festive season.
One report names trains between Narasapur and Charlapalli, and between Podanur and Barauni.
Another report names trains between Charlapalli and Sengottai, and between Narasapur and Tiruvannamalai.
All the services are described as operating on selected dates in October and November 2026.
The trains will stop at many stations along their routes.
They will include different types of coaches, such as air-conditioned, sleeper and general coaches.
The extra trains are meant to help with crowded travel.
The second report says passengers can use railway reservation channels and the RailOne app to check bookings.
Because the reports name different routes, passengers should verify the final schedule before traveling.
One report lists Narasapur-Charlapalli and Podanur-Barauni special trains operating during October and November 2026.
That report says the two routes will receive 28 services, including 18 between Narasapur and Charlapalli and 10 between Podanur and Barauni.
A second report instead lists Charlapalli-Sengottai and Narasapur-Tiruvannamalai services for selected dates in October and November 2026.
The second report says the Narasapur-Tiruvannamalai service will make nine trips in each direction, while Charlapalli-Sengottai trains will run on listed Fridays and Saturdays.
The reports cite festive-season passenger demand as the reason for adding services, with advance booking for the Charlapalli-Sengottai trains opening on September 23, 2026.
