Rajasthan Approves Semiconductor, Aerospace and Defence Policies
The Rajasthan government has approved two new policies to help the state become a big player in making high-tech products.
One policy is about making computer chips, which are used in many electronic devices.
The other policy is about making parts for airplanes and defence equipment.
The government will give special benefits to companies that set up factories and service centers in these areas.
These benefits include help with money for starting the business, lower taxes, and cheaper electricity.
The goal is to bring in more private investment, create jobs for skilled workers, and make Rajasthan an important place in India for these industries.
Rajasthan Cabinet approved its first semiconductor policy and a new aerospace and defence policy.
The semiconductor policy promotes domestic manufacturing, design, and packaging of electronics.
Incentives include capital grants, interest subvention, and exemptions in power, stamp duty, and land conversion charges.
The aerospace and defence policy offers incentives for manufacturing and service units in aerospace, defence, and MRO services.
Policies aim to attract private investment, boost high-skilled employment, and strengthen Rajasthan's position in national high-tech industries.
