Padikkal Sets Vijay Hazare Trophy Record
Devdutt Padikkal, a cricket player, played a match in the Vijay Hazare Trophy.
He scored a lot of runs, over 600 in just six games, which is a new record.
He almost got a century (100 runs) but got out at 91.
He has done really well in this tournament, with 13 centuries in 38 matches.
This is a big achievement, and only a few players have done better than him.
He played against Rajasthan in Ahmedabad and got out to a bowler named Manav Suthar.
Some people think he should be in the India ODI team because of his great performance, but he is not yet selected.
Devdutt Padikkal scored over 600 runs in six innings in the Vijay Hazare Trophy 2025-2026.
He set a new record by becoming the first batter to score 600 runs in three different editions of the tournament.
Padikkal fell short of a fifth century in the season, getting out at 91 against Rajasthan.
He has scored 13 centuries in 38 List A innings, a remarkable achievement.
Despite his impressive performance, Padikkal remains outside India's ODI setup, raising questions about selection criteria.
