NCP Faces Land Sale Controversy
There is a big controversy involving the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) in Pune, India.
An RTI activist named Vijay Kumbhar has accused the Deccan Sugar Technology Association of illegally selling the NCP's party office land.
The activist claims that the sale violated government rules and a court order.
This controversy is connected to a bigger scandal called the Mundhwa land scam, where 40 acres of government land were allegedly sold illegally for a lot of money.
Meanwhile, NCP leader Ajit Pawar criticized the BJP for not valuing its old workers, referring to a BJP leader who was denied a ticket for upcoming civic polls and later joined the NCP.
Pawar also alleged corruption in the municipal corporation during the BJP's rule.
Despite these tensions, the NCP continues its alliance with the BJP at the Centre and in Maharashtra.
