Delhi and IIT-Kanpur collaborate on AI initiatives
The Delhi government is working with IIT-Kanpur on two big projects using Artificial Intelligence.
The first project is to find out where pollution is coming from, like dust, vehicles, and factories.
This will help them understand the impact of different pollution sources and take action quickly.
The second project is to make it easier for people to complain about problems and get them fixed.
Right now, people can complain through different systems, but it's not very organized.
The new system will bring all these complaints together in one place, making it easier to find and fix problems.
This will help the government work better and make people happier.
Delhi government is collaborating with IIT-Kanpur to use AI for identifying pollution sources at a granular level.
The Delhi government is implementing an Intelligent Grievance Monitoring System (IGMS) to integrate multiple grievance portals into one unified dashboard.
The IGMS will feature a Unified Dashboard, Semantic Search, Root Cause Analysis, Department Prediction, and Spam Filtering.
Current actions include strict dust norms, mechanical road sweeping, anti-smog guns, and intensified waste management.
IIT Kanpur will handle system integration, cybersecurity audits, and maintenance of the IGMS portal.
