Methodhub Software IPO lists at 20% discount
Methodhub Software, a company that helps other companies with digital transformation, had its first day of trading on the stock market.
The shares started at a 20% discount to the price set during the initial public offering (IPO).
This was a surprise because the grey market had predicted a small increase.
After some initial buying, the shares reached their 5% upper limit but were still 16% below the IPO price.
The IPO raised ₹102.49 crore and was very popular, with the retail portion being subscribed 21.54 times.
The company plans to use the money to pay off debts, invest in a subsidiary, and for other business needs.
Methodhub Software shares debuted at ₹155.20, a 20% discount to the IPO price of ₹194.
The listing missed expectations, as the grey market had predicted an 8.76% increase.
Shares briefly rose to ₹162.90, the 5% upper price band, but remained 16.03% below the IPO price.
The IPO was subscribed 28.91 times, with strong interest from retail, QIB, and NII investors.
Proceeds from the IPO will be used for debt repayment, investment in a subsidiary, working capital, and general corporate purposes.
