Assam to Challenge HC Order on APSC Scam Officials
The Assam government is not happy with a court's decision about people who took bribes to get jobs.
The court said that 52 people should get their jobs back.
The government will now try to get a higher court to change this decision.
The government doesn't want anyone who cheated to get a job to keep it.
They think it is unfair and are very disappointed with the current ruling.
Assam government will appeal to the Supreme Court regarding the High Court's decision on APSC scam.
Gauhati High Court ordered the reinstatement of 52 officials involved in the APSC cash-for-job scam.
The officials, dismissed from 2013 and 2014 batches, are to be reinstated within 50 days.
The state government can choose not to assign duties to the reinstated officials for 30 days.
Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma described the High Court order as 'painful'.
