Bosnia, EU Sign Agreement for Border Security Cooperation
Bosnia and the European Union have teamed up to make their borders safer.
They signed an agreement where the EU will help Bosnia with advice and send guards to watch the borders.
This is to stop people from entering the country illegally and to fight crime.
Bosnia, which wants to join the EU someday, had not made this agreement before, unlike some other countries nearby.
The EU believes this kind of teamwork helps reduce the number of people crossing borders without permission, especially those coming from the Middle East and other places to seek a better life.
The aim is to make the borders more secure for everyone.
Bosnia and Herzegovina signed an agreement with the EU for border security.
The agreement provides technical assistance and EU guard deployment.
The aim is to control and prevent illegal migration and cross-border crime.
Bosnia was the only Western Balkan country besides Kosovo without a Frontex arrangement.
The EU cooperation with Western Balkan countries has decreased illegal border crossings.
