Netanyahu Rules Out Iran Deal, Backs Trump’s Economic Pressure Campaign

Benjamin Netanyahu is Israel’s prime minister.

He said he does not believe Iran’s leaders will agree to a deal through negotiations.

He used insulting language to describe Iran’s ruling group.

Netanyahu said he discussed both diplomacy and military action with Donald Trump.

Trump has launched what he calls an “economic D-Day” campaign to increase pressure on Iran’s economy.

Netanyahu praised this campaign, including pressure on groups helping Iran’s government.

He warned that Israel would respond very strongly if Iran attacked it.

The reports also say Iran and Oman are discussing a temporary route to help ships pass through the Strait of Hormuz.
