IndiGo Delays Expansion Amid Pilot Shortage
IndiGo, India's biggest airline, was planning to add more flights to new countries.
But now, they have to wait because they don't have enough pilots.
They also had to cancel many flights recently, which caused some problems.
The government told them to fly less for a while.
So, IndiGo is focusing on fixing these issues before they start new international flights.
They want to make sure their flights run smoothly and people can travel without too many problems.
IndiGo delays international expansion due to pilot shortage and regulatory pressures.
The airline planned to add five new international destinations by the end of 2025-26 but has now postponed these plans.
IndiGo was forced to reduce its domestic flying schedule by 10% following a mandate by the Civil Aviation Ministry.
The airline lowered its capacity and revenue guidance for the third quarter of the financial year 2026.
IndiGo became India's largest airline by international passenger traffic in the July–September 2025 quarter.
