Assam Police Seize Over 500kg Ganja Worth Crores
Imagine the police in Assam are like superheroes fighting bad guys who try to sneak illegal stuff into the state.
One day, they were checking cars on the road near a place called Patharkandi.
They found a big truck that looked suspicious.
Inside, they discovered a huge amount of Ganja, which is a type of drug, hidden really well.
It was so much that it was worth a lot of money, like 2.5 crore rupees!
The police also caught one person who was part of this, but the driver got away.
They are now trying to find the driver and anyone else involved to stop them from selling drugs.
This shows that the police are working hard to keep the state safe from illegal drugs.
Sribhumi Police in Assam seized 528.625 kg of Ganja valued at approximately Rs 2.5 crore.
The seizure occurred during a naka-checking drive near Kathaltoli Police Outpost in Patharkandi.
A Bolero vehicle originating from Tripura and heading towards Patharkandi was intercepted.
While one peddler was arrested, the driver of the vehicle managed to escape and is now being sought by police.
This operation is highlighted as one of the largest drug seizures in the region recently, underscoring the ongoing challenge of drug smuggling.
