President Trump said that drug prices in the US have dropped a lot, like 500%, 600%, or even 700%.

He said this happened because of a policy called 'favored nations status.'

But he didn't show any proof.

He also said this is a big deal for healthcare and might help Republicans in the midterm elections.

A few days ago, Medicare said they negotiated lower prices for some expensive drugs, which could save about $8.5 billion.

This negotiation was allowed by a law passed when President Biden was in office.
