BPF Rules Out Pre-Poll Alliance with BJP in Assam
The Bodoland People’s Front (BPF), which has been working with the BJP in Assam, has said they won’t make a formal agreement with the BJP before the next elections.
However, they might work together after the elections if needed.
The BPF wants to focus on improving the Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) area and doesn’t want to lose support from Muslim voters.
The BTC has 15 seats in the Assam Assembly, and the BPF thinks they can’t win enough seats to form the government alone.
So, they might need to team up with other parties after the elections.
