CISCE Launches Pilot Online Assessments for School Students
The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) is trying out online tests for students in 3rd, 5th, and 8th grades.
These tests will happen in September in 300 schools, including 21 in Calcutta.
The tests will check how well kids know English, math, science, and the environment.
The goal is to see if the students and schools are ready for online testing and to make sure everything works smoothly.
It's not about passing or failing, but learning and helping schools understand their teaching.
The results will help CISCE improve the tests before using them in more schools in 2026.
