Pensioners Can Submit Life Certificates Online or Offline by November 30
Every year, people who get a pension need to prove they are still alive to keep getting their money.
This is called a Life Certificate and it's usually done in November.
They can do this easily online using a special government website or app that uses their fingerprint or face.
They can also still go to their bank or the post office to do it in person.
To do it online, they need their Aadhaar card and pension details, and then they use a fingerprint or iris scan.
For the in-person option, they bring their documents to the bank or post office, and the staff helps them.
This helps make sure only the right people get pension money and prevents cheating.
Pensioners must submit a Life Certificate between November 1 and November 30 each year to continue receiving their pension.
Those aged 80 and above have an extended submission period from October 1 to November 30.
Life Certificates can be submitted online through the Jeevan Pramaan portal or the UMANG app using biometric verification.
Alternatively, pensioners can submit their Life Certificates offline by visiting a bank branch, post office, or Citizen Service Centre with required documents.
Required documents include Aadhaar number, mobile number, Pension Payment Order (PPO) number, pension account number, and bank details.
