Pune Activists Support Sonam Wangchuk's Ladakh Protest

In 2024, Sonam Wangchuk went on a 21-day fast in Leh to ask for better rules to protect Ladakh's environment.

A group in Pune called Friends of Ladakh supported him by fasting for a day.

Santosh Lalwani, an engineer who cares about the environment, decided to fast for as long as Wangchuk did, living on water for 10 more days.

Later, Lalwani joined thousands of protesters in Delhi.

They want the government to listen to their concerns about education and the environment.

Lalwani believes that when important people like Wangchuk speak, everyone should support them because it's about the future of India's children.
