MP Kavya Calls for Rapid Blackspot Elimination on National Highways
A member of Parliament from Warangal, Dr Kadiyam Kavya, asked the government to quickly fix dangerous spots on highways.
She wants permanent safety changes and to finish any unfinished work fast.
The road minister, Nitin Gadkari, said the government has found 6,358 risky spots using a computer system from IIT Kanpur.
He added that safety work is part of normal highway projects and there isn’t a special fund for these spots.
Kavya wants the government to speed up the work and add more projects to keep people safe on the roads.
