Delhi to Launch Free Bus Ride Pink Card Registration
The Delhi government is giving women a special card called the Saheli Smart Card, starting around mid-October, that lets them ride buses for free!
To get the card, women 12 and older who live in Delhi will need to sign up online and verify their information at a bank.
The card is like a permanent pass and is part of the National Common Mobility Card system.
Women can use it for unlimited free rides on DTC and Cluster buses.
The goal is to make public transport safer and easier, and it will replace the old paper tickets.
While rides are free, the bank might charge a small fee for the card.
