Maharashtra Police Warns of Rising Digital Human Trafficking

A police officer named Dorje spoke to students at Wilson College in Mumbai about how bad people use tricks and lies to take advantage of others.

He said that these bad people work together in big groups and that victims never do anything wrong.

Dorje also warned that new tricks are used on the internet, like fake job offers that send people to other countries where they are forced to do bad things.

Another speaker, Dr. Abraham Mathai, talked about a rescue in 2025 where a 12‑year‑old girl from Bangladesh was saved after being abused.

The event was a team effort with groups that help people who are hurt by trafficking.

They also taught students how to stay safe online and where to call for help if they see something suspicious.
