Gujarat Electricity Bills to Decrease, Offering Residents Relief
People in Gujarat will soon have cheaper electricity bills!
Starting July 1, 2025, the state is lowering the fuel surcharge, a fee added to bills to cover the cost of generating electricity.
This means consumers will pay 15 paise less per unit of electricity.
The new surcharge rate will be Rs 2.30, down from Rs 2.45.
This change is expected to save consumers over Rs 400 crore between July and September and builds on previous reductions in the past 18 months.
