Vadhandhi: The Mystery of Mani review: engaging Sasikumar crime thriller
A TV show called Vadhandhi: The Mystery of Mani came out on Prime Video.
It is the second season of a popular Tamil crime series.
A police officer named Moosa Raaza moves to a small town because of a new job.
He thinks his new posting is a punishment.
While he settles in, workers find a human skeleton at a road-building ceremony.
The discovery causes a big fight between the Central and State governments.
The officer is asked to solve the mystery of the skeleton.
He finds out there are actually two skeletons.
A man in prison, who is a famous jallikattu champion, seems to be connected to the case.
People who watched the show say the acting is great, but the middle part is confusing.
Vadhandhi: The Mystery of Mani, the eight-episode second season of the Tamil series, released on Prime Video on August 7.
Sasikumar stars as SI Moosa Raaza, a police sub-inspector transferred to the Padambathur police station near Madurai in 2025.
A human skeleton discovered during a bhoomi puja at a Union Minister's highway inauguration sparks a political controversy between the Central and State governments.
Raaza's investigation, aided by colleague Ramar (Vivek Prasanna), reveals two skeletal remains and links jailed jallikattu champion Modakkathan Mani (Yashwanth) to the case.
Critics praise Sasikumar's performance and his chemistry with Vivek Prasanna but note the middle episodes become unnecessarily convoluted.
