Tamil Nadu Unveils Rs 947 Crore Highway Four-Laning Project

Tamil Nadu plans to make part of a highway wider so more vehicles can use it.

The project will cost about Rs 947 crore.

It covers a 43.16-kilometre stretch between Pathalampalli and Latheri.

It also includes an 11.85-kilometre bypass through 13 villages.

Land acquisition for the bypass has started.

The plan still needs final administrative approval.

Many legislators asked for more bypasses, bridges, and safer road junctions in their areas.

The government said it is preparing reports for 182 such requests.
