CUNY Establishes Research Institute Named After Achyuta Samanta
A university in the United States has created a research center named after an Indian person, Dr. Achyuta Samanta, for the first time ever.
The institute, called the Achyuta Samanta India Initiative, will help students learn about India's culture and the work of Dr. Samanta, who has helped many children through education.
This honor also included giving Dr. Samanta a special medal.
The idea for the center came from a visit to Dr. Samanta's schools in India.
