Maharashtra Cancels ASPs, Streamlines Leave & License Process
The Maharashtra government has stopped using Authorized Service Providers (ASPs) for online rental agreements.
These companies previously assisted with online registration.
Complaints about the ASPs led to the decision.
Now, landlords and tenants must register directly on the government website, which aims to make the process fairer and easier.
This change has been welcomed by some as it allows anyone to register the agreements and eliminates extra charges from service providers.
Maharashtra cancels ASPs for online Leave & License registrations.
The decision was announced by IGR Ravindra Binwade (IAS).
ASPs facilitated online registration of Leave and License documents.
The department received complaints about irregularities against the service providers.
Tenants and landlords must now register directly on the government portal.
