Kerala's Innovation Train to Boost Grassroots Solutions
The Kerala Startup Mission is starting something exciting called the Innovation Train.
It's a special train trip from Thiruvananthapuram to Kasargod where young innovators and students will brainstorm solutions to problems in their communities.
The train is like a moving classroom with tools and mentors to help them come up with ideas.
They'll think about issues like farming, fishing, healthcare, and education.
The best ideas might even get help to turn them into real projects.
This is all part of a big event called the IEDC Summit, which supports student startups.
The goal is to give young people from all over Kerala a chance to make a difference.
Kerala Startup Mission is launching an Innovation Train from Thiruvananthapuram to Kasargod on December 21, 2025.
The train will serve as a mobile innovation hub for young innovators to ideate solutions for local challenges.
Participants will focus on issues like livelihoods, public services, climate resilience, agriculture, fisheries, healthcare, and education.
The initiative aims to produce over 200 well-defined, implementable ideas rooted in community needs.
Selected ideas will receive mentoring, proof-of-concept development, and incubation opportunities through KSUM-supported programs.
