Crocodile Hatchling Rescued From Well In Thane
A tiny crocodile, only 32 cm long, was found stuck in a well near a school in Thane.
The Wildlife Welfare Association (WWA) was called, and they safely took the baby crocodile out.
It was checked by a doctor and is now in a safe place.
Soon, it will be taken back to its natural home in the wild.
The WWA reminded everyone to call them or the Forest Department if they see wild animals, instead of trying to help them themselves.
A 32-cm-long crocodile hatchling was rescued from a well near a TMC school in Thane's Wagle Estate.
The Wildlife Welfare Association (WWA) was alerted by local residents and successfully retrieved the hatchling.
The hatchling was taken to Dr Chariyar's Pet Clinic for a medical examination and is now at the WWA transit centre.
The reptile will be released into its natural habitat after the Forest Department grants permission.
WWA appealed to the public to report wildlife sightings to authorized organizations instead of handling them.
