Haryana Withdraws 201 PSOs from 72 Individuals
The Haryana Police have decided to take away the bodyguards, called Personal Security Officers (PSOs), from 72 people in the state.
This means 201 police officers who were protecting these people can now do other important work.
The police say they will check every week to see if these people still need protection.
They want to make sure that only those who are truly in danger get bodyguards, not just people who want them for show.
Some important people, like politicians and a singer, had their bodyguards taken away recently.
The police say this is not about any one person or group, but about using their resources wisely.
Haryana Police withdrew 201 PSOs from 72 individuals across the state.
The decision was made to rationalize the force and review threat perception.
Weekly reviews of threat perception will be conducted at the district level.
Notable individuals affected include JJP leaders, singer Rahul Faizalpuria, and former ADGP Paramjit Singh Ahlawat.
The police emphasized that security will be provided only to those who genuinely need it.
