Shah Reviews Siliguri Corridor Security, Plans Triangular Grid

Amit Shah held a meeting about keeping the Siliguri Corridor safe.

This corridor is a narrow piece of land that connects northeastern India to the rest of the country.

It is close to the borders of Nepal, Bhutan, and Bangladesh.

Senior security officials and West Bengal officials joined the meeting.

They discussed better monitoring of the borders.

They also discussed how security forces and government agencies can work together more effectively.

The government plans a triangular security grid with three new military garrisons.

These would be located in Dhubri, Kishanganj, and Chopra.
