Czech Republic Wins 12th Billie Jean King Cup Title

The Czech Republic won an important women’s tennis team competition called the Billie Jean King Cup.

It beat Ukraine by winning both singles matches in the final.

Karolina Muchova defeated Anhelina Kalinina in the first match.

Linda Noskova then beat Elina Svitolina in a closer match.

Because the Czech team won both matches, no doubles match was needed.

This was the Czech Republic’s 12th title.

It was also the team’s first title since 2018.

Ukraine had reached the final for the first time after beating Italy in the semi-finals.
